Yes, I agree. There is unfortunately no easy answer or recommendation. That’s what I meant when I wrote:

“If you feel you would be highly motivated to improve yourself if you found that you had a high-risk genotype, perhaps it is a good idea for you to gain some certainty about your biological makeup. But if you are particularly anxious, perhaps you are better off not knowing at all.”

Another problem is that we often don’t know whether an event will be good or bad for us until it happens. We simply have to do our best to understand our own tendencies and decide accordingly.
