Hi Kevin, I don’t know too much about at-home EEG systems so I’m hesitant to comment on them in detail. But 16 channels certainly does sound impressive if the device works. One of the major challenges for at-home systems, particularly with neurofeedback, is dealing with the noise in EEG recordings. I’m sure the technology is moving in the right direction, but like you, I suspect it’s not quite there yet (especially given my own painful experiences with using EEG for research).
